On your first day in Year 7, you’ll be welcomed into Fryer House. This bright, cosy building is just for our lower school students. It will be your social base for your first two years with us with classes and co-curricualar activies held in specialist classrooms, like art studios, science labs and engineering workshops. Our Year 7 curriculum has been designed to harness your innate inner drive and spark a deep desire to learn and grow. Our dedicated teachers will stretch you academically, but more importantly they’ll help broaden your horizons. You’ll be encouraged to try new things, find your passion and harness your inner drive. Through our award-winning Creativity Action Service (CAS) programme, you’ll develop a range of skills, from cooking to engineering, with a view to discovering your own abilities and seeing how they could be implemented in the wider world. You can also pick from nearly 100 co-curricular hobbies: plenty of opportunities to pursue your interests or try something new. Whether it’s at lunchtime or after school, you have the time and space to try out activities and eat with your friends – all at no extra cost. |

Alongside English, maths, science, technology and the humanities, you’ll have more curriculum time than in many other schools for creative subjects like Music, Design Technology, Drama and Art, as well as studying subjects not usually offered at your age - like Engineering, Dance and Music Tech. Keen on sport? PE and two Games afternoons every week is the starting point with the option to add more sport through our co-curricular programme. |

As the first year of our Senior School, the Year 9 curriculum is all about deepening your knowledge across a range of subjects, discovering your passions in preperation for choosing GCSEs. While we’re undeniably proud of our students’ top GCSE results, personal development throughout your time in Senior School is just as important as academic progress. The majority of our students regularly represent the school in sport, or participate in competitions for things like music, drama, art and debating. There’s nothing like the buzz of these experiences to build your confidence and resilience, and take your learning to the next level. A sense of belonging gives you the confidence to flourish. We’re here to make sure that happens. We keep tutor groups small, with just 11 students in each. You’ll quickly make friends and get to know your tutor well. They’re always on your side, and you’ll have daily check-ins so they keep pace with what’s happening in your world. |
| Our GCSE students are in the top 1% for academic progress in the UK, according to ALPS data. In 2025 59% of all grades were 9–7.
We offer a broad range of options for GCSE, and students usually take nine or ten subjects. There are some core subjects (English Language & Literature, Maths and Science) that everyone takes all the usual subjects that most schools offer and some less common options, including GCSEs in Dance, Engineering, Global Perspectives and Food Preparation & Nutrition, as well as a BTEC qualification in Creative Digital Media Production. The academic programme is supported by our emphasis on personal development, with nearly 100 co-curricular options, exciting House competitions and Creativity, Action, Service personal development programme. |

We offer a one year GCSE programme called the Pre-Sixth which gives you the opportunity to study between five and seven GCSEs in preparation for Sixth Form. This programme is ideal for international students looking to transition into the UK education system. You’ll take English, Maths and Combined Science plus an optional Humanities course (Geography or English as an Additional Language (EAL)) or a language. As well as the academic programme students will be able to enjoy our full co-curricular and sports programmes. Sometimes known as Pre-A Level or Pre-IB, this intensive course will give you the qualifications you need to enter Sixth Form and study either the IB Diploma or A-levels. |

Our Sixth Formers achieve the best academic progress in Berkshire, but you might be surprised to learn that this has never been our end goal. Yes, we encourage hard work, but our focus has always been to support you to think about what you want to achieve, foster your inner drive and find purpose in your learning. You can choose between A Levels and the prestigious IB Diploma Programme to ensure you have the right programme to help you achieve your goals. Our Sixth Form classes are small, with an average of seven students, for fun and engaging lessons. With a strong emphasis on personal development alongside academic progress, we encourage you to find your passions, live adventurously, and develop a deep desire to learn and grow. |

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB Diploma) is consdired the Gold Standard in international education and is ideal if you’re a curious student with broad interests, who enjoys project-based learning and has a global mindset.
You will study six subjects, three at Higher Level and three at Standard Level and benefit from a holistic personal development programme. |
