Academic Subjects

Our individual approach to education offers inspiring classes and the promise of choice, with 27 GCSE level options and both A Levels and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme on offer in Sixth Form. Within our holistic curricula, the School is well known for its STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) academic approach. Leighton Park is a Flagship Yamaha Music Education Partner, with over 50% of our students studying at least one instrument with us and 27 music teachers on staff. Boarding

Leighton Park has 150 boarding students, with 40% from the UK and 45 different countries represented. A home from home, our boarding team provide a warm, family-feel environment. As well as single sex boarding houses for senior girls and boys, we recently opened a new Lower School Boarding House for Years 7, 8 and 9 students.

Our Sixth Form students’ academic progress places us 27th in England, out of more than 6,000 schools. We are one of only eight schools that have consistently been in the top 100 every year for since the league tables. Students can choose between A Level or the International Baccalaureate.

Our Sixth Form students’ academic progress places us 27th in England, out of more than 6,000 schools. We are one of only eight schools that have consistently been in the top 100 every year for since the league tables. Students can choose between A Level or the International Baccalaureate.
Pupils display excellent attitudes to learning. They are passionate and enthusiastic without ever losing sight of the inherent Quaker ‘testimonies’ principles. Pupils are supportive of each other in their learning and trusting of their teachers.
